EXERCISE 1 : Translate into Swahili :

1. Ningesoma, ungepanda, tungalikula, wangalijaribu, ningepata ufunguo, mizigo ingaliletwa, barua zingepelekwa, ungalikuja, ingenyesha mvua, ungesema kiswahili, ningalikuja jana, ningekuwa na pikipiki.

2. Mti usingalianguka, nyumba isingekuwapo hapa, usingekuwa mwalimu, asingekuwa mgonjwa, daktari asingalikuja, isingekuwa hatari, mzee asingalikufa, asingalipata ajali, nisingekwenda Moshi, tusingalipata hoteli, tusingalichelewa.

EXERCISE 2 : Translate into English :

1. If you knew how to read, I would buy you a book.
2. If you earned wages, you'd get something to eat.
3. If you had had a job, you'd have earned wages.
4. If he planted corn, he could get a good harvest.
5. If we had cultivated this year, we would have got a harvest.
6. If we find fish, we won't buy meat.
7. If this country received rain, many people would build here.
8. If you put on a rain coat, you wouldn't feel cold.
9. If I were you, I wouldn't wear this garment.
10. If you had told him your problems, the master could have helped you.
